Tessa Barton is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s of science in nursing. She went on to graduate from Texas Tech University Health Science Center with her master’s of science in nursing and then obtained her certification as a family nurse practitioner. Tessa was born in Texas, and although she has lived in many other cities, she came back to her hometown to raise her two children. She spent many years as an ER nurse before becoming a primary care provider for patients in a family practice setting for almost 10 years. She has also cared for patients in their home, nursing homes, and in a busy orthopedic clinic.
